Waterford Opening
I was at the opening of the Waterford Healing Arts Trust’s exhibition Passengers in the Regional Hospital, Waterford, last week. There was a good turn out of artists, staff and admirers. There was a bit of confusion about the piece I submitted. They actually wanted to show Path of Lives, which has a spiral in it, and not Spirals as I originally thought. The exhibition was opened by Dick Warner, the Irish broadcaster and environmentalist, who mentioned that he originally thought a hospital was a curious place to hold an exhibition. But on reflection he decided it was an excellent place as there is an audience of patients, visitors and staff, some of who spend a lot of time waiting around the hospital. The art surrounding them can help brighten and bring new visions to their lives.
Sanctuary
I’ve started a new picture called River Sanctuary. It’s a place where you can go to find peace, enlightenment and wisdom. There are challenges in reaching this place but you know it will be worth the effort when you get there.
The picture above shows its the current stage. Have a look over it, click the image and a larger version in a window will appear. If you have any comments on how to improve it I’d love to hear them.
Travel Within
I added Travel Within to the gallery on the web site along with a some explanatory text...
Spiritual travel within ourselves offers such at range of possibilities. If I was a ‘Travel Within’ ticket agency there would be a library of brochures to give information on the various areas, regions and locations that a soul could go to. More>>

Hi Ed P, I really like this image, River Sanctuary. I want to go there stand at the bridge & hear the water, smell the fresh air, see the beautiful greenery & the trippy blue sky. There is probably a secret cave above the waterfall. Its magical.

Hi Emma,
You're right about the secret cave. Have a look at the larger version, click the image and new window will open. There's someone in the cave waiting for you but you have to convince him you are the person he is expecting so that he'll let down the bridge for you.
Thanks for dropping by. Keep an eye on the blog so you will know when the pcture is finished. You'll be able to explore it fully then.

Hi Emma,
Be careful as you climb the hill. If you are wearing high heels you might end up with your heels to heaven... http://www.irishartsblog.com/2008/01/heels-to-heaven.html
