Spirals
This is a picture I finished just in time for the St Stephen’s Green exhibition. Its original title was Tapestry. I was hoping to show how our relationships create a tapestry as we go through life but that’s not how how it turned out. It does represent a reasonably accurate representation of the image I saw when it crossed my mind but it doesn’t look like a tapestry. I’ve had the tapestry ides in my head for a few years but haven’t got into a visual format yet… some day.
So the title on this piece is Spirals and here’s my description of it.
We enter life through the swirling vortex and spin around it experiencing our lives. There are lots of others with us in this vortex creating spirals as we go through life. Eventually we gin the wisdom and strength to break out.

Thanks Brat,
Glad you like it. One of my artist friends explored the image in her mind during a contemplation and this was one of her comments
“One can go right into the centre of the picture and be spun around in the whirlpool of colours. The result is: purification and merging with the white light = God-realization. What a spiritual exercise!!!! “
